The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is the government ministry of Cambodia that is responsible for governing activities of agriculture, forestry and the fishery industry in Cambodia. The ministry prepares and implement The agricultural development policy aims to improve the living standards of the state's population by focusing on land reform and effective land use planning. It involves developing strategies for agricultural progress across various regions and ensuring coordination in the monitoring and evaluation of political decisions and agricultural activities. The policy emphasizes the sustainable management of natural resources, facilitating their use to meet national demands while maintaining ecological stability. The policy also supports capacity building by assessing and training human resources to raise technical awareness and encourage the effective use of available resources. Ministry aims to research and dissemination of scientific, technological, and economic advancements in agriculture with focus on land quality improvement, introducing appropriate plant varieties, animal breeds, fertilizers, and pesticides based on regional geography and climate to ensure high yields while preserving the natural environment.
